Dr. Smith

Mrs. Saragusa

Dr. Dan Smith has been a high school business teacher for 23 years. He taught in Bowling Green, Kentucky for seven years and Tyrone, Georgia for the last sixteen years. Prior to teaching he was a business manager in Louisville, Kentucky. Business subjects he is teaching this year include: Economics, Business Principles, and Financial Planning. He also sponsors Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

Dr. Smith enjoys hunting, golfing, bowling, reading, has skydived and para-sailed, and expects to hanglide very soon. He enjoys interactions with high school students and hopes to encourage them to become responsible men and women of integrity. He has an open-door policy with all stakeholders in the development of our future leaders.

Mrs. Nancy Saragusa taught science for nine and a half years in Louisiana before joining us at Rossview to teach Physical Science and Chemistry. She has her Bachelors degree in Biology from Southeastern Louisiana University. She enjoys working on her landscaping and trying to grow veggies. She has been married for 19 years with one daughter who just graduated from high school. They also have two dogs, a boxer and a miniature pin.

Mrs. Plumb

Mrs. Parker

Mrs. Laura Plumb attended Boston University where she earned her Bachelors degree and is currently attending Austin Peay State University working towards a Master of Arts in Teaching. She is expected to graduate December 2009. Mrs. Plumb teaches Geometry and Virtual High Classes. Her hobbies include dancing, rock climbing, and cooking. Mrs. Pollyana Parker is in her eighteenth year of teaching. For the last seventeen years, she taught English, Theatre Arts, Speech and Video Production at Northeast High School. She graduated from Austin Peay State University with certifications in English, Speech and K-12 Theatre Arts. This year, she is teaching ninth grade Regular and Honors English classes. She enjoys reading, movies, swimming, and animals. She also loves spending time with her family and friends. She is married, and has two sons; Kenny, who is 19 and is a sophomore at MTSU, and Jackson, who is 12. She also has a rescued Chinese Crested dog named Pebody.

Mrs. Wells

Mrs. Jennifer Wells taught in North Carolina and Georgia for three years before moving to Tennessee. She attend The University of Georgia and received her Bachelors in Special Education, as well as a Masters focusing on intellectual disabilities. She teaches Life Skills here at Rossview. Her hobbies include reading, scrap-booking, and listening to music. She has been married for two years, and her husband is in the Army. Mrs. Cassie Smith is back at Rossview! She has been in education for seven years, teaching math and working as a guidance counselor. For the first few years, she taught in Kentucky. Mrs. Smith attended Murry State University and earned a Bachelors in Organizational Communications and Math Secondary Education. She also earned a graduate degree from from Western Kentucky University in Counseling. This year she is teaching Algebra I in the math department. Her hobbies include cooking and scrap-booking. She is married and has a three year old boy with one on the way! Welcome back Mrs. Smith!

Mrs. Posey

Mrs. Karla Posey is also back at Rossview! She worked here for many years as an educational assistant before attending Austin Peay and earning a Masters of Arts in Education, with a K-12 Special Education Certification. Mrs. Posey taught at West Creek Middle School for two years before joining us at Rossview. She teaches Language and Transition classes, and an inclusion World Geography class. Her hobbies include cooking, watching college sports, and working crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Her husband's name is Bill, and they have 2 daughters; Mary Kaylyn is a 7th graders at Rossview Middle School and Telley is a 2nd grader at Rossview Elementary School. They also have a Black Lab named Emma and two cats: Smokey and Bandit.
