Dickson County Speech Tourney

At the Dickson County Speech Tournament held last weekend, the RHS Speech

Team placed 5th out of 27 schools from across Tennessee and Kentucky! Our

debate teams placed 2nd and 3rd, Robin Sloan and Octavious Padgett (2nd);

Haley Hall and Elizabeth Bruce (3rd). Brittini Smith double broke in the

most competitive categories, placing 2nd in Poetry and 3rd in Prose. Sean

Taylor won 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation. Charrelle Coates won 4th

place in Original Oratory. Diane Roberts was chosen as Presiding Officer in

the student congress. All award winners received silver trays.
