New RHS JROTC Band Plays Inaugural Performance at Rivers and Spires Parade

4/10/03

A unique group to Montgomery County schools (and probably Tennessee!), the JROTC Band, formed by Band (or CIA - Civilian Instrumental Adviser) Director Tom Tapscott and JROTC SAI Capt. Pat McNeill, played for the first time as the lead band in the Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville on Thursday. The JROTC Color Guard preceded the band, and led the parade of USA well-wishers along the parade route. The band consists of 22 members:

Keeton Barron, April Bennett, Andelko Burich, Caitlin Cutler, Casey Donellan, Sheletha Gregory, Barry Hedgespeth, Adam Ireland, Kristen Kaiser, Shari Lee, Ben Lehman, Kyle Lockart, Ryan McCord, Josh Melton, David Moran, Angela Pennington, Mackenzie Roberson, Bernadette Ruby, Glenna Shelton, Laura Wade, Alexis Weatherspoon, and Chris Wilson.

Drum Major: Eric Wilson.

Following are photos and video/audio clips of the band's stirring performance (you must have Quicktime plug-in installed on your browser to view the movie clip - double click on the picture to play sound):
