David Brown Wins Walmart Teacher of the Year 2005

5/3/05

U.S. History teacher David Brown was awarded with a $1,000 check from the Sango Walmart on Teacher Appreciation Day, as a result of essays written by his students to nominate him for this prestigious honor. Over 3700 teachers in the United States were surprised with their awards at school today, according to the Walmart Associate who presented the award. He was also given 40 cupcakes and a sheet cake to share with his students, as well as a Walmart vest (which he must wear whenever shopping at Walmart ;). The award may be spent on any school supplies/materials Mr. Brown chooses. He is also the RHS Boy's Tennis coach, and will be sponsoring the SADD chapter next year. Mr. Brown's wife and 4 children were present for the award. Congratulations, Mr. Brown!
