2007 Math Team Competitions
In 2007 the Math Team competed in our “Triple Crown”. Students compete in the FERMAT Challenge at UT, The Vanderbilt Math Competition, and the TMTA Contest held at APSU. All participants worked hard and improved as the year went on. Kim Groom and Kellie Douglas finished in the top ten in Pre-Calculus. John Salter and Amber O’ Connell finished in the top ten in Calculus. Amanda Roney finished 2^nd in Statistics. Special congratulations go to Daniel Kasper and Kristie Canaday. They captured first place in their divisions. These are our first champions and we are very proud of them. They are not seniors so you have not heard the last of their successes in E=MC2. A special shout out is also due to our Algebra 2 team led by Roger Taylor. They captured first place at APSU. This was our first of hopefully many champion teams.
