The Clarksville-Montgomery County and Fort Campbell School honor
bands, both middle and high school, performed their annual concert on
Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Guest conductor for the middle school
band, Mr. Morris Stevens, also a CMCSS board member, directed the
Star-Spangled Banner (the waltz version), America the
Beautiful, In the Mood, Fantasia on the Dargason, Fairest of the
Fair, and Mobbusters! The high school band was led by Dr.
Gregory Wolynec of Austin Peay State University, with a program that
included Amazing Grace and Chorale and Shaker Dance. In
a historic moment, the world premiere of the newly-commissioned piece
"Free" was composed and directed by Dr. Greg Danner of
Tennessee Tech, in memory of former band member, Joey Ansberry. Mike
Ansberry, Rossview Middle School band director, along with his wife
Therese and daughter Vanessa, were presented with the original score
to "Free" by Dr. Danner after the concert. Following are
