RHS continues celebration of American Education Week 2002

Day Two of honoring educators brought breakfast in the library to RHS faculty and staff. Teachers were given Hawk red magazine boxes with bibliographies of materials in the RHS library in their subject area. In our continued focus on academic departments, the English and Social Science departments are featured today.

English Department

Mrs. Dianne Toombs teaches advanced and average freshmen English classes and provides ACT/SAT prep classes in the afternoons.

 

Mrs. Kim Hurst teaches average freshmen English classes.

 

Mr. Sydney Hedrick teaches both freshmen and senior English classes and co-sponsors the Interact club.

 

Ms. Lexi Hellums teaches average sophomore English classes and is the Literary Magazine sponsor.

 

Mrs. Stephanie Bedell teaches advanced and average sophomore English classes and is the co-sponsor of the Interact club.

 

Mrs. LuEllyn Wilcox teaches average junior English classes and the Drama Club sponsor.

 

Mrs. Robin Slack teaches advanced and average junior English classes and is the Academic Team sponsor.

 

Mrs. Angie Smith teaches average, advanced and AP English classes and is the senior class sponsor.

 

Mr. Ray Busey teaches average freshmen English and Life Science classes and is an assistant football coach.

Social Sciences Department

Mrs. Sandra Black teaches World Geography and sponsors the Junior Civitan Club, as well as coaching the girls' golf team.

 

Mr. Jason Rice teaches World History and AP European History and is the head baseball coach.

 

Mr. Dave Brown teaches American History.

 

Mrs. Jan Thompson teaches regular and AP American History and sponsors the Black History team.

 

Mrs. Christie Reed teaches Economics and World Geography and co-sponsors the Junior Civitan Club.

Mr. John Miller teaches U.S. Government and is the head football coach.
