After the morning competitions were complete and sack lunches
were served, the best was yet to come: the final run-off for the
Principal's Cup. With the sophomore and junior classes tied for the
lead, the dunking booth became the focal point of interest. Each
administrator perched on the booth, wincing each time classes lined
up to throw. Mrs. Muckleroy and Mr. Myers were speedily dunked, but
it took a concentrated effort to get Mr. Miller, and Mr. Tharpe
seemed completely untouchable until Bruce (one of our favorite
custodians!) took aim and found its target ;). The junior class won
the competition with the most total points and were presented with
the cup. Thanks to the JROTC staff and students for a fun-filled day
of activities! (And to the administrators for being such good sports!
;) Our baseball and football teams even joined the action after the
