FCCLA members shine at state conference

Kacie Boguskie was elected State FCCLA President
at
state convention at Opryland Hotel, April 6-8. Kacie
had
to pass a written test about the organization, give
an
oral presentation and answer a situation
question
before 1000 members before being elected.
She
competeted against 8 other members from across
the
state to win the presidency. Kacie has been active
at
Rossview, participating in District Leadership
Meeting,
National Cluster Meeting in Jacksonville, Florida,
STAR
events competition, and local projects such as
the
elderly, safe house, St. Jude's Children's
Hospital,
Salvation Army, and others. Kacie duties will
include
planning and participation in Tennessee State
Fair,
district leadership meeting, cluster, and state
meeting
for next year. She will be an ambassador for our
state
and local organization, supporting many
national
programs representing FCCLA.
Kati Ferst achieved the highest honor (3 STARS)
and
first place in Chapter Showcase Manual competition
at
both district competition in February, and again
during
state convention at Opryland Hotel , April 6-8. Kati
's
event is a compilation of a strong local
chapter's
activities during the school year.. Kati will now
compete
at National convention in Chicago this
summer..
Kati was Vice President of the Rossview FCCLA
last
year, and President this past year. She has
represented the chapter by attending district, state,
and
national meetings, as well as projects in her
local
chapter .
