Rossview honored its first state champs (the Lady Hawks Golf
Team) in a special assembly today. Taylor Cooper (who took individual
state honors), Laura Turner and Stacy Lynch competed recently at the
state competition and came home with the win! Other team members
include Olivia Smith, Tamara Teeter, and Jessica Walker. The team is
coached by Mrs. Sandra Black. Mayor Trotter joined the celebration,
proclaiming October 10, 2003 as Lady Hawk Golf Day in Clarksville,
TN. Dr. Lance Bowie, Director of Secondary Education, offered his
services as caddy to the team, and Dr. B.J. Worthington, Chief
Academic Officer at Central Office, also instructed the students and
their parents to cherish today's memories of earning the school's
first state championship. Mrs. Gregory's Textile class constructed a
beautiful banner to commemorate the occasion, which was unfurled at
