Music in Our Schools Month Recognized with
Concert

The Rossview High School Instrumental Music Department presented
the MIOSM 2005 concert on Monday evening at 7 P.M. The String
Ensemble performed several beautiful classical and contemporary
pieces, including: Sea Song Trilogy, Barn Dance, Aztec Sunrise,
Knock on Wood, and Danza Antico.
The RHS Concert Band performed next, playing The
Star-Spangled Banner, Forbidden Fortress (from the suite
"Stormquest"), The Pines of Rome, Fortress Variants, and Where
the Black Hawk Soars.
Finally, the Symphonic Band closed the evening's program
with Peacemaker, Once More Unto This Breach, Cape Fear Chronicles,
Our American Heroes, and Chorale and Allegro. Hats off to
all the members of the department and the director, Mr. Tom Tapscott,
for providing a wonderful evening of music!
