At the National Forensic League Student Congress at
Montgomery Bell Academy on Saturday, April 9th, Michael Bergen became
the 2nd alternate to Nationals in the house. Jonathan Thomason was
elected the presiding officer in the Senate.
At the National Forensic League Individual Events
Qualifier held at Brentwood High School in March, three RHS students
made it to the final rounds. Sean Christian Taylor qualified for the
NFL National Tournament in dramatic interpretation. He will attend
the week-long competition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in June with
his coach, Lee Ellen Beach. Brittini Smith was a finalist in dramatic
interp and Michael Bergen was a finalist in U.S. Extemporaneous
speaking.
