The student body got revved up for their crosstown rival game
with Clarksville High School this evening (girl's game at 6:30; boy's
game at 8:00). The RHS choir sang the Alma Mater and National Anthem
first. All of the basketball teams were introduced (JV and varsity),
as well as the wrestling team. The results of the Sophomore student
council's faculty favorites votes were announced:
Best dressed: Mrs. Lexi Jobe and Mrs. Phyllis Ervin (tie)
Hardest: Coach Jason Rice
Friendliest: Mrs. Leigh Bonds
Nicest: Mrs. Kaye Warren
Funniest: Mr. Syd Hedrick
Most School Spirit and Best Looking Female: Shandy Shirk
Best Looking Male: John Miller
Mrs. RHS: Mrs. Linda Harper
Mr. RHS: Coach Wade White
The dance team and cheerleaders both performed, as well as RHS's
twirler, Kacie Boguskie. Finally, a nautical version of "Simon Says"
(called Ships and Sailors) was played, resulting in a tie between the
junior and senior class. Door prizes were awarded to various
students, and the rally concluded with a spirit check. Good luck
tonight Hawks! Following are photos of the event:
