RHS Salutes Veterans

In honor of the upcoming holiday on Monday (Veteran's Day), the RHS JROTC, band and chorus presented a patriotic program to the student body, special guests from various veteran organizations in the area, parents, and the 8th graders from Rossview Middle School. The buglers sounded "attention" and the Honor Guard posted the Colors, while the choir sang the National Anthem. The entire body recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and then School Board member David Cook sang the Lee Greenwood favorite, "God Bless the USA". Retired Col. John Mogan, Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Veteran Affairs was the guest speaker. Then members of the forensic speech team read aloud authentic letters from the various fronts to which US troops have been deployed, as JROTC members re-enacted each scene. The Colors were retired as "Taps" was played. Following are photos of the event:
